Here's a few pictures of our facility. We have used several types of racks over the years but have settled on using Animal Plastics racks with dual radiant side heat for our adults and belly heat for the hatchlings. They seem to work good with our room providing adequate heat and maintaining a decent amount of humidity in the drier months. We also use Spyder Robotics temperature controllers on all of our racks. All of our adult racks have Herpstat ND's and our hatchling racks use the original Herpstats.
We use two different types of adult racks depending on the size of the snakes in them.
For our big girls we use a CB-70 type rack with ARS 70-series tubs with built in water bowl. The built in water bowl works great for us as we use disposable 8 oz. deli cups for water bowl liners.
Our midsize girls and male breeders are housed in 28qt racks. Both types of adult racks we use are heated with dual radiant side heat which amounts to 11" flexwatt running down both side of the rack towards the back of the tubs.
Our hatchlings are housed in both V-18 racks and ARS-10 series racks utilizing 3" flexwatt belly heat. The V-18 tubs are manufactured by Vision Products and measure approximately 18" long x 7.5" wide x 3.5" tall. The ARS-10 series tubs measure approximately 21.5" long x 9.5" wide x 3.5" tall.
